In this video I want to extole the advantages of learning Linux with Citrix XenServer. Xsconsole as a menu system is ok but like all menus and GUIs it does not expose all the possible configurations; for example I want to edit an NTP entry and if using xsconsole I would have to delete one entry and add another new entry. Neither would it allow me to keep both but set the preference of one of the servers
Editing /etc/ntp.conf is simple and would allow me to change the entry our set a preference such as:
server 192.168.0.8 prefer
As well as this the command line allows me to verify the configuration with ntpq -p and ntptrace. Why would you not want you use the command line?
